Why Do We Meet Our Twin Flame? To Have a Spiritual Awakening

I hate to break to you, but your "twin flame" is not the love of your life. You are. Your incarnation!

The reason why you go through this process of meeting yourself in another body is for one main reason-

TO HAVE A SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

Some people may go through loss and grief in other ways that sparks a spiritual awakening, such a medical episode, near death experience, the death of loved ones, a break up or divorce, a car accident- you name it. Another way you can go through a spiritual awakening, and often the quickest and most painful way- is to meet yourself in another body. This is known as a spiritual awakening through soul recognition. Some people go through a spiritual awakening by recognising another soul in their soul group- a soul they have shared many lifetimes with.

In terms of soul recognition, you may have even seen a flicker whilst staring into the person's eyes. This has happened with only two people so far with me- my husband (my romantic soulmate), and my simultaneous self (my twin flame).

You may even lean forward and think, I just saw a flicker of something, (almost like the flicker of a flame), in their eyes.

This was the catalyst for me having my spiritual awakening when I met my twin flame, which is why I like to relabel the "runner twin flame" as the catalyst soul. I hardly knew my twin, really, and in all honesty, yeah when we first met, I thought she was cool and all, and wanted to be friends with her, but that was about it. One night I was chatting to her and saw a flicker in her eyes. Later that night, she held my gaze for an uncomfortable amount of time, but I did not look away. Three days later and boom, the lightning bolt hit! And I could not stop thinking about her. Not for one second. I was head over heels in love.

In the case of twin flames and soul recognition, you have recognised your own soul. When I met my twin flame (or simultaneous self/catalyst soul as I like to call it), I kept wanting to shout at her excitedly, "Oh my God, it's me! Hello! Don't worry, don't be scared. I am not like the others. I won't hurt you".

I didn't know her. I didn't know she had been hurt. But of course, I knew. Of course, I wanted to say, "It's me" and "I'm not like the others". It is because she is also me. A past life version of me that just happens to exist in the same physical timeline. Or another present life version of me. Whichever way you look at it, you and your twin flame are the same person/soul.
